I have been accused of being an elitist and high tech addict. Well, here is a conventionally built pirogue made out of heart longleaf pine, galvanized cut nail fastenings, cross planked on the bottom (tongue and grooved by hand... no caulking) and painted with pine tar varnish.... That's 12'x36"x.... 85#! Now, you see why I am a high tech elitist.
